Tips and Hints
Number of Videographers:
The vast majority of weddings are shot by a team of two. This gives us both the freedom to move around and get different angles throughout the ceremony and reception without a gap in coverage (one moves while the other films). It also allows us to be with both the bride and the groom simultaneously for all pre-ceremony happenings. For maximum coverage, some clients will book a third. This is ideal for someone looking to get a film or real time edits (but is by no means "required").
Number of Hours:
We like to arrive at least 45 minutes before everyone gets suited up. This gives us time to get those candid shots of the girls getting hair and make-up and guys hanging out with some brewskis. We also want to make sure we don't leave before all your events have finished. So, we've found that 8-9 hours covers that best. Occasionally, the timeline may call for more hours. That's fine with us! Just pick how many hours past 9 you'd like us to stay.
We offer two types of creative edits. The 4-6 minute film
is a highlight reel of your day. From putting on the dress to throwing the bouquet, and everything in between, it's your day! This is a great edit to share with family and friends. If you want a full creative edit of your day we offer our 15-25 minute film
. This film showcases it all. Regardless of your choice, you will receive all your raw footage on a small portable hard drive that you can watch on any computer. Doing so also allows you to come back to us later if you wish to upgrade your edit. Just mail us back your drive and we'll get to work! For those that want the full package, we'll upload your highlight film first, as a "trailer" for your full film!
Real Time Edits:
When we shoot your big day with two or three cameras, we have two or three angles of the action! When you get your raw footage you'll be able to watch each camera from start to finish. But, if you'd like us to edit the angles together documentary style, we offer real time edits for your ceremony and toasts.
